Dr. Albert Konikoff
Dr. Albert Konikoff was born in Buffalo, N.Y. but grew up in Tidewater.
He was graduated from the University of Virginia in 1969 and then
received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Medical College
of Virginia in 1973. He attended the University of Pennsylvania where
he received his Certificate in Periodontics in 1975. Following that Dr.
Konikoff moved back to the Tidewater area where he has maintained his
practice of periodontics.
During this time Dr. Konikoff has been on the faculty of the University
of Pennsylvania Dental School, the Medical College of Virginia Dental
School, and the Dental Hygiene Department of Old Dominion University.
He is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology and
the Virginia Society of Periodontology and is a past President of the
Virginia Society of Periodontology. Dr. Konikoff is a member of the
American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association and the
Tidewater Dental Association. He and his wife Wendy, lives in Hampton
Roads and are the proud parents of two sons. Dr. Konikoff focuses on
the periodontal plastic surgical, reconstructive and dental implant aspects of periodontal therapy.
